Ci sono immagini che non si guardano soltanto:
si portano dentro.
Ferite visive che attraversano la pelle, il pensiero, la memoria.
Alcune si dissolvono col tempo.
Altre, invece, chiedono di diventare pietra.
There are images that are not merely seen:
they are carried within.
Visual wounds that pierce the skin, the mind, the memory.
Some fade with time.
Others demand to be turned into stone.
La Pietà è un archetipo universale, dal Rinascimento a oggi simbolo dell'amore che resiste oltre la vita. In questa scultura, la pietà non è soltanto materna: è umana.
The Pietà is a universal archetype, from the Renaissance to today a symbol of love enduring beyond life. In this sculpture, pity is not merely maternal: it is human.
Il volto è senza lineamenti, perché è tutti i volti.
Le braccia non trattengono soltanto un corpo, ma cercano di trattenere l'anima che se ne va.
The face has no features, because it is every face.
The arms do not hold only a body: they strive to hold the departing soul.
Non c'è promessa di resurrezione: c'è il momento sospeso in cui il dolore si pietrifica e diventa forma.
There is no promise of resurrection: only the suspended moment in which pain turns to stone and becomes form.

Un corpo che custodisce un corpo, un abbraccio scolpito nel marmo che, nel suo silenzio, trattiene il respiro del dolore e lo trasfigura in simbolo.
A body that cradles a body, an embrace carved in marble that, in its silence, holds the breath of pain and transfigures it into a symbol.
Un'opera che nasce dall'urgenza di guardare in faccia il dolore. Di restare davanti alla ferita, senza trasformarla in confine, senza ridurla a motivo di contesa. Chiede silenzio, raccoglimento, ascolto.
A work born from the urgency to face pain. To remain before the wound, without turning it into a border, without reducing it to a cause for conflict. It calls for silence, recollection, listening.
Viviamo in un tempo in cui l'eccesso di informazione non produce comprensione, ma il suo contrario: confusione, paralisi, incapacità di orientarsi. È per questo che abbiamo scelto di affidarci a un'opera d'arte. Perché l'arte, nel suo silenzio, può dire l'indicibile, custodire la memoria e aprire un varco alla speranza.
We live in a time when the excess of information does not produce understanding, but its opposite: confusion, paralysis, inability to find direction. This is why we have chosen to entrust ourselves to a work of art. Because art, in its silence, can say the unspeakable, preserve memory, and open a passage to hope.
